KEY INGREDIENT

Amla Berries

Also known as Indian Gooseberry, this fruit is packed with vitamins that support collagen production and strengthens hair follicles.

Wny you need it

By nature, curly hair tends to be dry, especially at the ends. Ayurveda recommends regular use of herbs like amla and brahmi, along with moisturizing ingredients like aloe vera and shea butter for deep hydration and repair.

The Power Of Shea Butter

Shea butter holds a significant place in Ayurveda, primarily for its ability to balance Vata and Pitta doshas, which are prone to dryness and irritation. It is especially beneficial for calming inflammation and redness, enhancing collagen production, supporting anti-aging by improving scalp elasticity, and protecting against environmental damage like pollution and UV rays.

The 100% pure unfiltered shea butter we source from the West Africa region of Ghana is packed with all of the inherent nutrients. Nothing is lost in its process. Our Burdock Amla + Shea Hair Moisturizing Cream takes all of this into consideration...for you. 🤍

What customers say

How To Use

As A Moisturizer

Moisturizers are meant to add needed hydration and is extremely beneficial for textured hair. Why? Because the natural sebum from the scalp has a hard time navigating the curly terrain, so it needs help.

For all over hydration: Separatee clean, damp hair into sections prior to styling and apply a small amount to each section. A little goes a long way.

For dry ends: Do you pineapple or wrap your hair at night? This is a great time to add a bit of moisturizer to the ends of your hair and let it absorb while you sleep.

As A Deep Conditioner

Our Burdock Amla + Shea moisturizer can also be used to deep condition your hair.

After washing and blotting the excess water out, apply the cream to your hair and cover with a plastic cap. Sit under a hooded dryer or use a dryer cap for 20-30 minutes to let the all the goodness of the nutrients penetrate deep into the hair strands and follicles. No need to rinse.

As A Styler

My second-best attribute? Stying!!

Two-strand twists, wash-and-gos, braids, straight styles, you name it. Burdock Amla + Shea is here for it!

For best results, use on clean hair.

Two-strand twists and wash-and-go styles: Mix with PUR Nectar Whipped Aloe Gelly to create styles that are nourished, smooth, and defined.

Braids (synthetic): Add a small amount to each section prior to braiding to protect the hair from dryness that may come from braiding hair.

Straight styles: Apply to freshly washed hair prior to blow drying and provide your hair with the heat protection that comes with this moisturizer. You're now free to flat iron your hair with confidence.

Much needed product for hair

I really love the creamy softness that this product has. It smells soooo good that it makes you want to eat it!! I know that my hair loves to eat this healthy and delicious blend of shea butter/amla combination that's mixed with other natural ingredients. Thank you so much for making this wonderful, much needed hair care product for black hair types, especially.

My retwist cream

This product works for me when I'm retwisting my hair or when I'm extending my wash and go by converting it to a twist out. Smells nice, but not overpowering.

Love it!

I used this when I first shaved my locs and started growing my 'fro again. It was great at keeping moisture in my hair in the winter when it was shorter. Since then, I've gone back to my dreads and use this as a leave in conditioner after washing my hair, before I palm roll it. I have 4b hair that is now locked and this stuff is incredible as a leave in conditioner for the warmer, more humid months in the northeast. Thanks for saving my hair!

Wonderful!

I absolutely love this stuff!!! Took a chance on it at the suggestion of the natural pharmacy owner a couple months ago and I am so glad I did!! I have thick 4C hair, with oily skin and a sensitive scalp, so ingredients are key to me, and this product keeps my hair moisturized, doesn't break my face out and does not make my scalp flake up; I'm on my third jar and have turned some of my friends onto it and they love it! I use it for the creme portion of my LCO regimen, and to twist/braid me and my daughter's hair (she has 3C/4A hair.) Looking forward to trying other Afroveda products!

You deserve extraordinary hair.
