Shipping and Returns

We care about the quality and efficacy of our products and handcraft each item fresh, to order.


Orders are logged in the day after they are received for all orders, regardless of size or dollar amount. Orders received on Fridays after 3:00pm CST are logged into the system the following Monday. The countdown for order processing and shipment begins on the day it was entered into our system, and does not include weekends or major holidays. In order to be fair to all of our customers, orders are filled and processed in the order they are received. Please remember, our wonderful products are hand made and sent to you fresh (not stockpiled!) so it is important to allow the required amount of time for processing (which is currently up to 7 business days for normal orders; up to 14 business days during holidays and/or sales).

We will do our best to ship products as quickly as possible. A shipping confirmation notice is e-mailed after orders are shipped. If you do not receive one, please check your spam folder and/or adjust your e-mail filter settings. We know that you are anxious to receive your products, but we re unable to move your order ahead of others, nor are we able to "rush" your order. Please be patient. It will certainly be worth the wait!


AfroVeda will ship orders using USPS Priority Mail service from our location in California. We do not ship COD, nor do we ship any packages collect. We strive to keep your shipping charges as low as possible. Our shopping cart has been set up to determine your shipping charges using real-time shipping rates provided by the United States Postal Service. This system is unable to determine and account for multiple boxes or certain surcharges, therefore your shipping charges may be higher than our online estimate if multiple boxes are required. You will be sent a modified invoice alerting you to these additional charges. Shipping charges are calculated and presented to you in real time during the ordering process, allowing all charges to be known before you complete your order.

PLEASE NOTE: Once your order is in the possession of the shipping carrier, we are not responsible for your package if it is lost, stolen or damaged. Although this is a very rare occurrence, sometimes a package will get stolen or is missent by the post office. If your package is stolen/lost/damaged while in the care of the postal carrier we cannot replace the items. All missing/lost/damaged packages are the responsibility of the postal carrier. Please contact the nearest post office/sorting office to work out any shipment problems. We only have the capacity to track a package. If your package is declared "unclaimed" by the postal service and returned to our offices, AfroVeda will issue a store credit for your items minus the shipping fee.


AfroVeda currently does not ship internationally except to Canada.
Shipping labels are printed from our office, not from the UPS Store or the Post Office. Packages are then delivered to the preferred carrier. Occasionally, you may receive a notification that your package has been shipped, but not see the update on the UPS or USPS website. This may be due to the office being closed at the time of drop-off. In any case, your package is processed and on its way to you. If you supply us with an incorrect address/zip code, we will charge you the extra shipping charges that occur for correcting the address or intercepting the package; you agree to this additional charge to your credit card.


Due to the hand-crafted nature of our products, we do not accept returns, exchanges or issue refunds. We ask that you please select your products carefully as ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Orders are entered into our system the day after you order, and processing begins.

If you need to cancel an order, please contact us within 24 hours of placing your order. A store credit will be applied to your account for the amount of the purchase within 2 business days. If you have received a shipping notification, then your package has already been processed and cannot be cancelled. Order cancellation requests received after 24 hours are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
