Just wanted to let you know that I LOVE the totally twist almond butter. I've found that after washing, I rub a little of the shea alma butter through hair, then two-strand twist with "totally twisted" and the next day I have a gorgeous twist out. It's so soft and defined. I get alot of compliments :) My hair doesn't need the pur whipped gelly with it for hold. GREAT PRODUCTS!!! **************************** Mala, I absolutely love the Cinnamint Revitalizing Shampoo, i think this may be the natural inspired shampoo that I've been looking for. It kind of shocked me when i washed my hair with it last night! It lathers well, the aromatic smell, it got my hair clean without feeling stripped or leaving a sticky feeling coat, and my hair was soft and rather easy to detangle. I've been using afroveda products, and i must say my hair is happy! I will definitely continue to order the cinnamint shampoo. You may have it listed for men, but this product is androgynous! It kept the hair in place and it was moist XD. I think I'll try it on damp hair to see if I could get a more slicked back look. On Saturday (yesterday) I washed my hair with the Carrot and Rice Bran Shampoo Bar. Mala, I have got to say that this is the most awesome shampoo bar ever made. I've tried other bars before but nothing got my hair as soft as this before. My hair wasn't dry at all. I'll have to try the Herbal Garden Bar that I bought ^^. I also used the Cocolatte Moisture Mask, which is a great moisturizer and kept my bantu-knot out looking shiny, even though I'm transitioning. Every night I use the Shikakai Hair Growth Elixir. It smells great and makes my scalp tingle. Over all, I must say that I am absolutely pleased with your products. I do believe that I have found the perfect line for my hair. I'll be trying the Rhineh Rhassoul soon, as it looks really beneficial for my hair. I'm so happy that I've found the perfect products for my hair while I'm transitioning. Anne, Canada **************************** Well in my quest to find my perfect hair styling products, I stumbled upon Afroveda.com. The product line uses Ayurvedic hair care remedies specifically for African-American hair. Immediately I was sold, lol. I ordered the Holy Basil Conditioner, And the Hemp Seed, Loc, Twist & Roll Butter, and as an added bonus, when you order, you get one free sample, so I opted for the Shikakai Hair Growth Elixir. First off let me say, the customer service is superb! The packaging for your products, lets you know that at Afroveda.com, they want to see you satisfied, lol Any who, I got my products with no delays. The Holy Basil Conditioner, wasn’t what I thought it was, I thought it was a regular conditioner, but it’s a leave-in conditioner, in any case, I used it on my locs lightly, (nope I’m not letting it waste, lol) I made sure, I rubbed it in my hands real good first, and I must say I liked it, my locs still don’t feel dry! After washing my hair I applied the Shikakai Hair Growth Elixir Oil to my scalp and proceeded to massage my scalp, and then I covered it with a plastic shower cap. Who told me to that, lol, my scalp immediately started to tingle, and I was in love! I probably left that shower cap for close to an hour, the oil felt that good on my scalp. I will have to buy more! I also used the Hemp Seed, Loc, Twist & Roll Butter, and I by golly I think I found my new Loc Butter!!!! You have to keep this in a cool place, because it will melt, and when I got it, I saw just that, it was melting, but into oil, which made me so happy, because I new it wouldn’t be too heavy. The loc butter has NO BEESWAX, instead uses Palm Wax. Back to the story, so I waited until the following day when I washed my hair, so the butter could solidify, it had a nice creamy texture (similar to my former favorite, the Naani.com loc’d butter) that dissolved, as I rubbed it in between my fingers! I enjoyed the loc butter so much, I ended up interlocking my hair, and twisting the loose ends. Basically I really love the products I ordered, and will be ordering more… The customer service is on point, and you can usually sell me on that alone…The website gave very useful information about Ayurveda and doshas, I mean you can’t go wrong here… I highly recommend giving Afroveda.com a try.
